“Coffee trees need care, and someone to talk to them. That is what my grandchildren learn: a beautiful future can be built from the countryside too.”

His story
Hernán Erazo grows coffee in Taminango, Nariño. He bet on the land: he cares for it, listens to his coffee trees, and talks to them.
He shared that passion with his family, and today he is the grandfather of a third generation of coffee growers who follow his teachings. For him, specialty coffee is a way to build a future in the countryside, so that new generations can find there a place to stay.
At the Association we share that commitment: we work so that what is learned on the farm keeps passing from one generation to the next.
